Drumstick- Tomato Curry | Muringakka – Thakkali Ozhichu Curry

Drumstick and tomato curry is an easy and tasty side dish for rice. This curry is prepared with drumstick and tomato as the main ingredients. Drumsticks are packed with very high nutrient content. Ingredients

Drumstick-4

Tomato-2

Onion-1/2

Green chillies-2

Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp

Chilli powder-1/2 tsp

Coconut milk- 1/4 cup

Salt- to taste

Water-1 & 1/2 cup

Curry leaves- few

Mustard seeds- 1 tsp

Oil

Dry red chillies -2

 

Method

  • Clean the veggies and cut into pieces.
  • Take a pressure cooker and add in drumstick, sliced tomato, onion,  chilies, curry leaves, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and water. Pressure cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.
  • Open the pressure cooker once the pressure releases and add coconut milk and boil.
  • Heat another pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add in curry leaves and red chilies. Saute and add this to the curry and serve with rice.
