Pineapple curry

Pineapple curry is a delicious Indian  dish served as a side dish especially in sadhya. The mix of sweet and spicy taste in this curry is of course a special taste. This can be served during festive like Onam ,Vishu as a special dish.This special dish is prepared using pineapple and banana as the main ingredients.

Ingredients

Pineapple-half piece of one pineaaple
Banana- half
Greenchilly-4
Ginger-1 small piece
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt- as per taste
Thick curd- ½ cup
Coconut oil- 3 deep spoon
Mustard -1/2 spoon
Red chilly- 2
Fenugreek seeds-a pinch
Preparation method
• Peel off the skin of pineapple and cut them into small pieces.
• Peel the skin of banana and remove the thread from the inner part and cut them into small pieces.
• Cook the pineapple and banana pieces in a pressure cooker. Wait for 3 whistles .
• Boil the excess water if present.
• Allow cooked pieces to cool .
• Add a pinch of turmeric powder to the thick curd and mix it using a mixer grinder.
• Add this curd to the pineapple and banana mixture.
• Heat oil in a pan ,splutter mustard and fenugreek seeds .Also add red chilly to it and saute for a minute.
• Add this mix to the curry and the curry is now ready to serve.
