This is a very simple recipe for making a typical Beans thoran. It is very nourishing and tasty. Beans contain fibers which is good for health. So add beans in your daily diet. This is a perfect side dish for meals. Here is a quick recipes for you.
Ingredients
Beans- ½ kg
Grated coconut- 1 cup
Green chili-2-3
Onion-1
Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
Salt –as per taste
Shallots-2
Curry leaves- few
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Oil-
Method
• Clean and chop the beans into tiny pieces.
• In a pan, add the chopped beans, chopped onion, grated coconut, chopped green chili, turmeric powder curry leaves and salt to taste. Lower the flame and cook till the raw taste goes.
• Stir occasionally and add little water around 1 spoon or so if required.
• In another pan heat oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add shallots, curry leaves and saute till it turns light brown. Add this to the beans thoran and mix well.
Serve hot with rice !!
