Bread pudding is a very simple yet delicious dessert prepared using bread and milk. This delicious pudding can be prepared with the readily available ingredients at home.

Ingredients
White bread slices- 8 to 10
Milk- 1 & 1/2 cup
Sugar- 9 Tbsp
Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
For caramel syrup
Sugar- 5 Tbsp
Water- 2 Tbsp
Method
- Cut the sides of bread pieces and cut into small pieces. Using a mixer grinder crush the bread pieces.
- Take a bowl and mix together Milk, sugar and vanilla essence. Mix until well combined.
- Soak the bread crush into the milk mixture and mix well. Mix until the bread becomes soft. Keep aside.
- Take a pan and caramelize the sugar by adding the sugar in the pan. Keep the flame to medium. Allow the sugar to melt. Stir continuously, don’t burn the sugar. When the sugar melts and turns coffee brown add boiling water into it and allow it to boil until it thickens. Turn off the flame.
- Pour the mixture into the pan in which you are going to make the pudding. Make sure that the caramel syrup is evenly spread along the pan keep it aside for 5mins.
- Pour the bread mixture into the pan. Cover the pan using an aluminum foil. Make small holes using a fork or so.
- Steam cook this for 25 to 30 minutes on medium heat.
- Allow the pudding to cool. Transfer the pudding to the refrigerator.
- Invert onto a plate after 2 hours or cut into desired shapes and serve.
