- Chakka varattiyathu-200gm
- Jaggery-350gms
- Thick coconut milk-1cup
- Medium thick coconut milk-2cups
- Cardamom powder-1tsp
- Ghee-2 Tsp
- Cashews-2-3 Tsp
- Dried ginger powder-1tsp
- Thengakotthu/coconut bits-2 Tsp
- Melt the jaggery by adding little water, stain off the impurities and keep it aside .
- Take a heavy bottom pan on medium flame. Mix together medium thick coconut milk and chakka varatti until a thick paste form.
- Add jaggery syrup into this and mix. Cook until you get a thick consistency.
- Add thick coconut milk and mix. Turn off the flame.
- Fry coconut bits and cashews in ghee and add this into the payasam.
- Add cardamom powder and dried ginger powder and mix.
- Chakka Pradaman is now ready to serve.
