A simple tea time snack
Ingredients
  • Ripe jackfruit pulp                              -2 cups
  • Melted jaggery                                   -1½ cup
  • Grated coconut                                   - 3 cups
  • Rice flour                                       - 2 cups
  • Cumin                                            -1 tsp
  • Cardamon powder                                 -1 tsp
  • Salt                                           - apinch
  • Edanailla/bay leaves/banana leaves- as required
Instructions
  1. Melt the jaggery and remove the impurities and keep it aside.
  2. Remove the seeds of jack fruit ,and make a paste without adding water using a blender or mixer.
  3. Now combine together the jackfruit pulp,melted jaggery,powdered cardamon,cumin ,grated coconut and salt.
  4. Mix well using hand .Add rice flour little by little to make smooth dough.The dough shouldn't be too loose or too tight.
  5. Take edanailla/ banana leaves and make cones and fill the dough into it.If needed pin it using tooth pick or stick of coconut leaves.Cover the cone using the upper edge of the leaves.
  6. Steam it around 30 - 35 mins.
