This is a very simple recipe and can be prepared by anyone very easily. This recipe does not require much mixing. Here goes the recipe for a beautiful tasty and healthy cake.
Ingredients
Wheat/Atta- 1& 1/4 cup
Sugar- 3/4 cup
Baking soda-1 tsp
Cocoa powder-1/4 cup
Buttermilk-1 cup
Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
Vegetable oil-1/2cup
Salt-1/4 tsp
Method
- Preheat oven at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes before baking.
- Prepare a baking tray by applying oil and dusting the flour. Dust off the excess flour and keep it aside.
- Sieve together wheat powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt and mix properly
- Add sugar into the dry ingredients and mix properly.
- Make a small incision at the center using the whisk and add the buttermilk and oil into it and mix properly. Make a smooth batter without any lumps.
- Add vanilla essence and mix.
- Pour the batter in the prepared tin and tap the cake tin to release the air bubbles.
- Bake for 35 to 45 mins until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. You can also bake the cake in the pressure cooker or in a steamer.

Notes
Remember to use thick buttermilk. You could also use 1/2 cup curd and 1/2 cup milk instead of buttermilk.
