Vettu ( Cut) cake

Vettu (Cut)Cake is a famous snack found in chayakkada / local tea shop .It is very tasty and can be prepared very easily .This can be served to the surprise guests at home as we can store it upto 3 weeks and can also be used as tea time snacks.

Vettu-Cake-Ingredients

Egg -2
Powdered Sugar- 1 glass
All purpose flour- 2 glass
Baking soda- 1 tbsp
Oil-for deep frying
Method
• Sift together all purpose flour and baking soda.
• Beat the egg and add sugar, all purpose flour and baking soda and make it dough like we make for chapattis. Leave it for 15 minutes.
• Make big balls from the dough and spread it in about ½ inch thick. And make small square shapes from it.
• Using a knife give a small cut to any one side of the square shapes.
• Heat oil in a pan and deep fry till golden brown on medium heat.
• Drain on paper towels. Cool completely and store in air tight containers

Enjoy with tea.
